The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the Terror descends 1 no soul will deny its coming. 2 It will bring down [some] and raise up [others]. 3 when the earth will suddenly shake with a terrible shaking, 4 and the mountains are totally shattered and crumble to pieces 5 and will scatter abroad into fine dust. 6 [on that Day,] then, shall you be [divided into] three kinds. 7 Then (there will be) the Companions of the Right Hand;- What will be the Companions of the Right Hand? 8 And the Companions of the Left Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Left Hand? 9 As for the Foremost, they will be the foremost! 10 These will be those nearest to Allah. 11 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise). 12 (a throng of the ancients 13 but only a few from the later generations. 14 On thrones decorated, 15 Reclining face to face. 16 Immortal youths will serve them 17 carrying goblets and ewers and cups filled with the purest wine, 18 Wherefrom they will get neither any aching of the head, nor any intoxication. 19 And fruit; that they may choose. 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire to eat; 21 And pure, beautiful ones, 22 Like pearls safely hidden. 23 A reward for what they used to do. 24 No empty talk will they hear there, nor any call to sin, 25 only the words of peace and tranquillity. 26 And the fellows on the right hand; how be happy shall the fellows on the right hand be! 27 They will live amid the thornless lot trees 28 and flower-clad acacias, 29 And extended shade, 30 And in perpetually flowing water. 31 And fruit, abundant [and varied], 32 Neither limited [to season] nor forbidden, 33 And couches raised up. 34 We have formed them in a distinctive fashion, 35 Then We have made them virgins, 36 Loving companions matched in age, 37 like of age for the Companions of the Right. 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
