The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ WHEN WHAT IS to happen comes to pass -- 1 Which is bound to happen undoubtedly -- 2 It will bring down [some] and raise up [others]. 3 When the earth is shaken violently, 4 And the mountains shall be crumbled to atoms, 5 and become a dust, scattered, 6 and you shall be three bands -- 7 The People on the Right: and how fortunate will be the People on the Right! 8 And those on the Left Hand (i.e. those who will be given their Record in their left hands), Who will be those on the Left Hand? (As a disgrace for them, because they will enter Hell). 9 And the preceders are the preceders. 10 These are they who are drawn nigh (to Allah), 11 In gardens of delight; 12 A throng of the ancients, 13 And a few of later ages, 14 They will recline on jewelled couches 15 reclining upon them, facing one another [in love]. 16 they will be waited on by ageless youths 17 With bowls and ewers and a cup from a pure spring 18 by which their minds will not be clouded and which will not make them drunk; 19 And such fruits as they fancy, 20 and any flesh of fowl that they desire. 21 And there will be fair ones large eyed. 22 Like pearls safely hidden. 23 a recompense for that they laboured. 24 Not frivolity will they hear therein, nor any taint of ill,- 25 but only the saying: 'Peace, Peace' 26 As for the people of the right hand, how happy they will be! 27 Midst lote-trees thornless. 28 And clusters of banana plants. 29 and spreading shade 30 By water flowing constantly, 31 And fruit in plenty 32 never-failing and never out of reach. 33 and upraised couches. 34 and their spouses We shall have brought them into being afresh, 35 We have made them virgins, 36 Loving (their husbands only), equal in age. 37 like of age for the Companions of the Right. 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
