In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When there happeneth the Event. 1 And there can be no denying of its befalling. 2 Abasing exalting. 3 When the earth is shaken violently, 4 And the mountains shall be made to crumble with (an awful) crumbling, 5 So that they become a scattered dust, 6 And you (all) will be in three kinds (i.e. separate groups). 7 Those of the right hand -- how (happy) will be those of the right hand! 8 And there shall be such as will have lost themselves in evil: oh, how [unhappy] will be they who have lost themselves in evil! 9 The third to the fore shall be the foremost. 10 These will be those nearest to Allah. 11 In gardens of bliss [will they dwell] 12 (a throng of the ancients 13 and only a few of them from the later generations. 14 They (will be seated) on gold-encrusted couches, 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 Round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness), 17 With bowls and ewers and a cup from a pure spring 18 They shall not be affected with headache thereby, nor shall they get exhausted, 19 And with fruits, any that they may select: 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire. 21 And wide eyed houris 22 Like unto Pearls well-guarded. 23 A Reward for the deeds of their past (life). 24 No Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk) will they hear therein, nor any sinful speech (like backbiting, etc.). 25 All talk will be sound and upright. 26 And those on the right how (fortunate) are those on the right! 27 Among thornless lote-trees 28 And acacia covered with heaps of bloom, 29 In shade long-extended, 30 By water flowing constantly, 31 and an abundance of fruits, 32 never-failing and never out of reach. 33 And maidens incomparable. 34 Verily, We have created them (maidens) of special creation. 35 We have made them virgins, 36 Lovers, friends, 37 for the people of the right hand 38

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
