The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the Event inevitable cometh to pass, 1 no soul will deny its coming. 2 It will abase some and exalt others. 3 When the earth is shaken violently, 4 and the mountains crumbled, 5 and become like scattered dust particles, 6 On that day, you (mankind) will be divided into three groups: 7 Then the companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 8 And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left? 9 And the foremost in the race, the foremost in the race: 10 (The foremost ones) will be the nearest ones to God 11 In gardens of delight; 12 A numerous company from among the first, 13 and a lesser number from the later generations. 14 On thrones woven [with ornament], 15 reclining upon them, facing one another [in love]. 16 (and there) shall wait on them immortal youths 17 with goblets, jugs and cups of crystal clear wine 18 Whereby there shall be neither headiness nor will they be inebriated. 19 along with fruits of their choice; 20 and such flesh of fowl as they desire, 21 They will have maidens with large, lovely black and white eyes, 22 The likes unto pearls hidden. 23 A Reward for the deeds of their past (life). 24 They will not hear any unnecessary or sinful talk 25 Other than "Peace, peace" the salutation. 26 And the fellows on the right hand; how be happy shall the fellows on the right hand be! 27 (They will be) among Lote-trees without thorns, 28 Among Talh (banana-trees) with fruits piled one above another, 29 and spreading shade 30 And water everflowing. 31 And fruit, abundant [and varied], 32 Neither intercepted nor forbidden, 33 They shall be on upraised couches, 34 We have created (their Companions) of special creation. 35 And made them virgins, 36 Loving companions matched in age, 37 For the Companions of the Right Hand. 38

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
