The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the event befalleth - 1 there is no denying its coming 2 Abasing (some), exalting (others); 3 When the earth will tremble, shivering. 4 and the mountains crumbled, 5 And become dust dispersing. 6 And ye shall be sorted out into three classes. 7 So those on the Right Hand (i.e. those who will be given their Records in their right hands), Who will be those on the Right Hand? (As a respect for them, because they will enter Paradise). 8 And there shall be such as will have lost themselves in evil: oh, how [unhappy] will be they who have lost themselves in evil! 9 As for the Foremost, they will be the foremost! 10 They shall be the nearest to God. 11 In gardens of delight; 12 A throng of the ancients, 13 And a few of those of later time. 14 Seated on couches wrought in gold and encrusted with precious stones, 15 Reclining therein face to face. 16 immortal youths shall go about them 17 carrying goblets and ewers and cups filled with the purest wine, 18 a drink by which their minds will not be clouded nor will it cause drunkenness; 19 and with fruit of any kind that they may choose, 20 And the flesh of fowls that they desire. 21 And companions with big beautiful eyes 22 like unto pearls [still] hidden in their shells. 23 A recompense for that which they have been working. 24 Therein they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 Except the saying, “Peace, peace.” 26 And those on the right hand; what of those on the right hand? 27 (They will be) among Lote-trees without thorns, 28 And banana-trees (with fruits), one above another. 29 And in everlasting shade. 30 By water flowing constantly, 31 And fruit abundant. 32 Neither limited [to season] nor forbidden, 33 And couches raised up. 34 Indeed, We have produced the women of Paradise in a [new] creation 35 And have made them virgins. 36 loving and of equal age. 37 All this will be for the People on the Right; 38

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
