The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the Event (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) befalls. 1 and there can be no denying its happening, 2 It will bring low (some); (and others) it will exalt; 3 When the earth shall be shaken with a (severe) shaking, 4 and the mountains crumbled, 5 becoming scattered dust, 6 And you will become divided into three categories. 7 Thus, there shall be such as will have attained to what is right: oh, how [happy] will be they who have attained to what is right! 8 And those on the Left Hand (i.e. those who will be given their Record in their left hands), Who will be those on the Left Hand? (As a disgrace for them, because they will enter Hell). 9 and the Outstrippers: the Outstrippers 10 (The foremost ones) will be the nearest ones to God 11 in the Gardens of Bliss. 12 A number of people from those of old, 13 And a few from among the latter. 14 (They will be) on thrones woven with gold and precious stones, 15 reclining on them facing each other; 16 immortal youths going round about them 17 carrying goblets and ewers and cups filled with the purest wine, 18 by which their minds will not be clouded and which will not make them drunk; 19 and with fruit of any kind that they may choose, 20 and such flesh of fowl as they desire, 21 And (there will be) Companions with beautiful, big, and lustrous eyes,- 22 The like of the hidden pearls: 23 shall be their recompense for their deeds. 24 No empty talk will they hear there, nor any call to sin, 25 but only the tiding of inner soundness and peace. 26 As for the People on the Right, how fortunate shall be the people on the Right! 27 They shall recline on high amidst lote trees without thorns 28 And clustered plantains, 29 And in everlasting shade. 30 And water gushing, 31 and abundant fruits, 32 Neither intercepted nor forbidden, 33 And raised couches; 34 We have created maidens perfectly 35 and shall have made them virgins, 36 Loving (their husbands only), equal in age. 37 For the Companions of the Right Hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
