The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the event befalleth - 1 Then none will be able to deny its occurrence. 2 Abasing (one party), exalting (the other), 3 When the earth shall be shaken to its depths, 4 And the mountains will be powdered to dust. 5 they will become like dust scattered around. 6 and you shall be three bands -- 7 The people of the right hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their right hands. How happy they will be! 8 Companions of the Left, what are the Companions of the Left? 9 And those foremost [(in Islamic Faith of Monotheism and in performing righteous deeds) in the life of this world on the very first call for to embrace Islam,] will be foremost (in Paradise). 10 These will be those nearest to Allah. 11 In the Gardens of Pleasure, 12 A multitude of those of old 13 And a few from the latter. 14 (They will be) on Thrones encrusted (with gold and precious stones), 15 Reclining face to face. 16 They will be served by immortal boys, 17 with goblets and ewers, and a cup from a spring 18 a drink by which their minds will not be clouded nor will it cause drunkenness; 19 And with fruit from that which they choose. 20 And the flesh of fowls, any that they may desire. 21 and wide-eyed houris 22 like pearls preserved in their shells, 23 a recompense for that they laboured. 24 They will not hear therein ill speech or commission of sin - 25 Except the word peace, peace. 26 The companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 27 [They will be] among lote trees with thorns removed 28 And plantains laden with fruit. 29 And extended shade, 30 Gushing water, 31 And abundant fruit, 32 unfailing and not forbidden. 33 And maidens incomparable. 34 Indeed, We have produced the women of Paradise in a [new] creation 35 and made them virgins, 36 loving and of equal age. 37 All this will be for the People on the Right; 38
