The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the Event inevitable cometh to pass, 1 Then will no (soul) entertain falsehood concerning its coming. 2 Abasing (one party), exalting (the other), 3 When the earth will tremble, shivering. 4 And the mountains are crumbled, crumbled. 5 and will scatter abroad into fine dust. 6 And ye will be three kinds: 7 Those on the Right -- how blessed are those on the Right! 8 And there shall be such as will have lost themselves in evil: oh, how [unhappy] will be they who have lost themselves in evil! 9 And those foremost [(in Islamic Faith of Monotheism and in performing righteous deeds) in the life of this world on the very first call for to embrace Islam,] will be foremost (in Paradise). 10 those are they brought near (to their Lord) 11 They will dwell in the Gardens of Bliss: 12 A throng of the ancients, 13 And a few of those of later time. 14 [They will be seated] on gold-encrusted thrones of happiness, 15 reclining upon them, set face to face, 16 Surrounded by immortal boys. 17 With vessels, pitchers and a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring - 18 by which their minds will not be clouded and which will not make them drunk; 19 along with fruits of their choice; 20 And meat of birds that they may wish. 21 And [for them are] fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes, 22 Like unto preserved pearls. 23 A reward for what they used to do. 24 They will not hear therein ill speech or commission of sin - 25 But only the saying of: Salam!, Salam! (greetings with peace)! 26 And the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand! 27 They will live amid the thornless lot trees 28 Among Talh (banana-trees) with fruits piled one above another, 29 And spreading shade, 30 By water flowing constantly, 31 And plenty of fruits. 32 Neither ending nor forbidden. 33 on raised couches. 34 Surely We have made them to grow into a (new) growth, 35 having resurrected them as virgins, 36 loving companions, matching in age, 37 like of age for the Companions of the Right. 38
