The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the Terror descends 1 no soul will deny its coming. 2 some shall be abased and others exalted. 3 When the earth is shaken violently, 4 And the mountains are crumbled, crumbled. 5 So that they become a scattered dust, 6 [on that Day,] then, shall you be [divided into] three kinds. 7 Then the companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 8 And those on the left – how (wretched) are those on the left! 9 And those foremost [(in Islamic Faith of Monotheism and in performing righteous deeds) in the life of this world on the very first call for to embrace Islam,] will be foremost (in Paradise). 10 Those! they shall be the brought nigh, 11 in the Gardens of Delight, 12 a large group of the early believers, 13 but [only] a few of later times. 14 On thrones decorated, 15 Reclining therein face to face. 16 (and there) shall wait on them immortal youths 17 carrying goblets and ewers and cups filled with the purest wine, 18 by which their minds will not be clouded and which will not make them drunk; 19 along with fruits of their choice; 20 and the meat of any bird that they may desire; 21 and fair maidens with large, lustrous eyes 22 The like of the hidden pearls: 23 As reward for what they used to do. 24 They will hear no nonsense there or talk of sin, 25 Except the word peace, peace. 26 As for the people of the right hand, how happy they will be! 27 (will be) among thornless Lote trees. 28 And banana-trees (with fruits), one above another. 29 and continuous shade, 30 And in perpetually flowing water. 31 And fruit in plenty 32 never-ending and unrestricted, 33 and upraised couches. 34 Verily, We have created them (maidens) of special creation. 35 And made them virgins. 36 loving and of equal age. 37 with those who have attained to righteousness: 38
