The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the inevitable event comes, 1 and there can be no denying its happening, 2 (a calamitous Event) that shall turn things upside down: 3 When the earth will be shaken with a terrible shake. 4 And the mountains shall be crumbled to atoms, 5 So that they become a scattered dust, 6 You will become three categories: 7 Those of the right hand -- how (happy) will be those of the right hand! 8 Those on the Left -- how unlucky are those on the Left! 9 And those who surpassed have indeed excelled. 10 Who will be honoured 11 In gardens of tranquility; 12 (a throng of the ancients 13 but only a few from the later generations. 14 They (will be seated) on gold-encrusted couches, 15 reclining on them facing each other; 16 Immortal youths will wait upon them 17 With goblets and ewers and a cup of limpid drink. 18 which will not cause them any intoxication or illness. 19 And such fruits as they fancy, 20 And meat of birds that they may wish. 21 And (there are) fair ones with wide, lovely eyes, 22 Like unto Pearls well-guarded. 23 A reward for what they used to do. 24 Not frivolity will they hear therein, nor any taint of ill,- 25 only the words of peace and tranquillity. 26 And the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand! 27 Midst lote-trees thornless. 28 and banana trees, 29 and shade extended, 30 And in perpetually flowing water. 31 and fruits abounding 32 Unending, unforbidden, 33 And raised couches. 34 Surely We have made them to grow into a (new) growth, 35 We have made them virgins, 36 Lovers, friends, 37 For the Companions of the Right Hand. 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
