The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the Event will come to pass 1 There is, at its occurrence, no denial. 2 some shall be abased and others exalted. 3 When the earth is shaken with a shaking [severe,] 4 And the mountains shall be made to crumble with (an awful) crumbling, 5 Becoming dust scattered abroad, 6 And you will become divided into three categories. 7 The people of the right hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their right hands. How happy they will be! 8 And (then) those on the left hand; what of those on the left hand? 9 As for the Foremost, they will be the foremost! 10 It is they who are the close ones. 11 in the Gardens of Delight, 12 A number of the earlier peoples, 13 And a few of later ages, 14 On thrones woven [with ornament], 15 Reclining face to face. 16 They will be served by immortal boys, 17 carrying goblets and ewers and cups filled with the purest wine, 18 Their heads shall not ache with it, nor shall they lose their senses. 19 And fruit of what they select 20 and any flesh of fowl that they desire. 21 and fair maidens with large, lustrous eyes 22 Like pearls within their shells, 23 Reward for what they used to do. 24 They will hear no nonsense there or talk of sin, 25 All talk will be sound and upright. 26 The Companions of the Right 27 Among thornless lote-trees 28 And acacia covered with heaps of bloom, 29 And in everlasting shade. 30 And water everflowing. 31 And fruits numberless, 32 Whose season is not limited, and their supply will not be cut off, 33 and raised couches 34 Lo! We have created them a (new) creation 35 And made them virgins. 36 Loving companions matched in age, 37 For the fellows on the right hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
