The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When there happeneth the Event. 1 no soul will deny its coming. 2 Abasing exalting. 3 When the earth will be shaken with a terrible shake. 4 And the mountains are crumbled, crumbled. 5 and become like scattered dust particles, 6 And you shall be three sorts. 7 Those of the right hand -- how (happy) will be those of the right hand! 8 Those on the Left -- how unlucky are those on the Left! 9 And the preceders are the preceders. 10 These will be those nearest to Allah. 11 In gardens of delight; 12 a large group of the early believers, 13 And a few of later ages, 14 On thrones woven [with ornament], 15 reclining upon them, set face to face, 16 (and there) shall wait on them immortal youths 17 With vessels, pitchers and a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring - 18 Unheady, uninebriating; 19 And fruit of what they select 20 And the flesh of fowls, any that they may desire. 21 And gorgeous eyed fair maidens. 22 Like unto preserved pearls. 23 A Reward for the deeds of their past (life). 24 There they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 Only a saying: "Peace, peace." 26 The companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 27 They shall be in the midst of thornless lote trees, 28 and flower-clad acacias, 29 In shade long-extended, 30 By water flowing constantly, 31 And fruit, abundant [and varied], 32 never-ending and unrestricted, 33 And maidens incomparable. 34 We have created (their Companions) of special creation. 35 Then We have made them virgins, 36 Beloved (by nature), equal in age,- 37 For the fellows on the right hand. 38

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
