The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the event befalleth - 1 Which is bound to happen undoubtedly -- 2 Degrading (some) and exalting (others); 3 When the earth is violently shaken 4 And the mountains will be powdered to dust. 5 and become a dust, scattered, 6 You will become three categories: 7 Then (there will be) the Companions of the Right Hand;- What will be the Companions of the Right Hand? 8 And the People on the Left: and how miserable will be the People on the Left! 9 And those who surpassed have indeed excelled. 10 Who will be honoured 11 In Gardens of Delight. 12 A throng of the ancients, 13 and only a few of them from the later generations. 14 On couches in wrought with gold. 15 reclining upon them, set face to face, 16 They will be served by immortal boys, 17 carrying goblets and ewers and cups filled with the purest wine, 18 No headache will they have therefrom, nor will they be intoxicated - 19 Also, they will be served with the fruits of their choice 20 Bird meats that they relish, 21 And [with them will be their] companions pure, most beautiful of eye, 22 as the likeness of hidden pearls, 23 a recompense for that they laboured. 24 They will not hear therein ill speech or commission of sin - 25 Except the word peace, peace. 26 The companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 27 (will be) among thornless Lote trees. 28 and clustered bananas, 29 And in everlasting shade. 30 and flowing water, 31 And plenty of fruits. 32 never-failing and never out of reach. 33 And raised couches. 34 Surely We have made them to grow into a (new) growth, 35 and made them virgins, 36 Loving, equals in age, 37 For the Companions of the Right Hand. 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
