The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the Event inevitable cometh to pass, 1 There is no belying its coming to pass-- 2 some shall be abased and others exalted. 3 This will happen when the earth is shaken, shaken 4 and the mountains are shattered into [countless] shards, 5 So that they become a scattered dust, 6 On that day, you (mankind) will be divided into three groups: 7 Then the companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 8 And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left? 9 And the foremost are the foremost, 10 Those! they shall be the brought nigh, 11 In Gardens of Delight. 12 Many of them will be from the ancient people 13 And a few of those of later time. 14 Seated on couches wrought in gold and encrusted with precious stones, 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 There shall go round unto them youths ever-young. 17 With goblets and ewers and a cup of limpid drink. 18 by which their minds will not be clouded and which will not make them drunk; 19 And fruit; that they may choose. 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire to eat; 21 and wide-eyed houris 22 Like pearls within their shells, 23 a recompense for that they laboured. 24 They will hear no nonsense there or talk of sin, 25 except each other's greetings of, "Peace be with you". 26 As for the People on the Right, how fortunate shall be the people on the Right! 27 Among thornless lote-trees 28 And banana-trees (with fruits), one above another. 29 And spreading shade, 30 And water poured out 31 And fruit, abundant [and varied], 32 unfailing, unforbidden, 33 And on couches or thrones, raised high. 34 We have indeed developed these women with an excellent development. 35 And made them virgins. 36 chastely amorous, 37 For the fellows on the right hand. 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
