The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the Terror descends 1 (and none denies its descending) 2 Abasing (some), exalting (others); 3 When the earth is shaken up convulsively, 4 and the mountains fragmented 5 and will scatter abroad into fine dust. 6 And you become [of] three kinds: 7 Then the companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 8 And there shall be such as will have lost themselves in evil: oh, how [unhappy] will be they who have lost themselves in evil! 9 And the foremost are the foremost, 10 These will be those Nearest to Allah: 11 In the Gardens of Pleasure, 12 A multitude of those (foremost) will be from the first generations (who embraced Islam). 13 And a few from among the latter. 14 On studded thrones. 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 There will circulate among them young boys made eternal 17 With cups, and jugs, and a glass from the flowing wine, 18 that will neither make the head throb, nor intoxicate, 19 And with fruits, any that they may select: 20 and the flesh of birds, as they desire. 21 and fair maidens with large, lustrous eyes 22 The like of the hidden pearls: 23 a recompense for that they laboured. 24 There hear they no vain speaking nor recrimination 25 only the saying 'Peace, Peace!' 26 The companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 27 They shall recline on high amidst lote trees without thorns 28 And [banana] trees layered [with fruit] 29 And a shade ever-spread. 30 And in perpetually flowing water. 31 And fruits numberless, 32 Neither out of reach nor yet forbidden, 33 And carpets raised. 34 We have formed them in a distinctive fashion, 35 And made them virgins, 36 intensely loving and of matching age. 37 For the fellows on the right hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
