The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When there happeneth the Event. 1 and then there will be no one to deny its occurrence 2 (it will) abase (some) and exalt (others). 3 When the earth is shaken up convulsively, 4 and the mountains crumbled 5 And become dust dispersing. 6 And ye are classes three. 7 Then the companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 8 And those on the Left Hand (i.e. those who will be given their Record in their left hands), Who will be those on the Left Hand? (As a disgrace for them, because they will enter Hell). 9 As for the Foremost, they will be the foremost! 10 These will be those Nearest to Allah: 11 In gardens of tranquility; 12 A multitude of those (foremost) will be from the first generations (who embraced Islam). 13 And a few from among the latter. 14 (They will be) on Thrones encrusted (with gold and precious stones), 15 Reclining therein face to face. 16 Youths of never-ending bloom will pass round to them 17 With vessels, pitchers and a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring - 18 which will not cause them any intoxication or illness. 19 Also, they will be served with the fruits of their choice 20 and the meat of any bird that they may desire; 21 And pure, beautiful ones, 22 The like of the hidden pearls: 23 Reward for what they used to do. 24 There they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 But only the saying of: Salam!, Salam! (greetings with peace)! 26 As for the People on the Right, how fortunate shall be the people on the Right! 27 (They will be) among Lote-trees without thorns, 28 Among Talh trees with flowers (or fruits) piled one above another,- 29 And in everlasting shade. 30 By water flowing constantly, 31 and fruits abounding 32 Neither out of reach nor yet forbidden, 33 And raised couches. 34 We have formed them in a distinctive fashion, 35 And made them virgin - pure (and undefiled), - 36 The beloved of their husbands, of one age. 37 For those of the right hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
