The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the forthcoming event does occur. 1 And there can be no denying of its befalling. 2 It will bring down [some] and raise up [others]. 3 This will happen when the earth is shaken, shaken 4 and the mountains are shattered into [countless] shards, 5 and become like scattered dust particles, 6 And ye shall be sorted out into three classes. 7 Those on the Right -- how blessed are those on the Right! 8 And there shall be such as will have lost themselves in evil: oh, how [unhappy] will be they who have lost themselves in evil! 9 But the foremost shall be [they who in life were] the foremost [in faith and good works]: 10 They shall be the nearest to God. 11 In the gardens of bliss. 12 A [large] company of the former peoples 13 but only a few from the later generations. 14 On couches in wrought with gold. 15 Reclining thereon facing each other. 16 immortal youths going round about them 17 With bowls and ewers and a cup from a pure spring 18 which will not cause them any intoxication or illness. 19 And fruit that they prefer 20 And the meat of fowl, from whatever they desire. 21 and there shall be wide-eyed maidens, 22 Like pearls within their shells, 23 A Reward for the deeds of their past (life). 24 There they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 Only a saying: "Peace, peace." 26 As for the people of the right hand, how happy they will be! 27 Among thornless lote-trees 28 And acacia covered with heaps of bloom, 29 and shade extended, 30 and gushing water, 31 and fruits abounding 32 unfailing and not forbidden. 33 They shall be on upraised couches, 34 Perfectly We formed them, perfect, 35 and We made them spotless virgins, 36 Devoted [to their husbands] and of equal age, 37 like of age for the Companions of the Right. 38

(1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
