The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the event befalleth - 1 There is about its happening no lie. 2 The event will be abasing some, and exalting some. 3 When the earth is shaken with a shock 4 and the mountains are shattered into [countless] shards, 5 becoming scattered dust, 6 On that day, you (mankind) will be divided into three groups: 7 Then (as to) the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand! 8 Then those of the left hand -- how (unhappy) will be those of the left hand! 9 And those who surpassed have indeed excelled. 10 These will be those Nearest to Allah: 11 In Gardens of Delight. 12 a good many of those of olden times, 13 and how few of the later folk) 14 On couches wrought of gold, 15 Reclining face to face. 16 There wait on them immortal youths 17 With goblets and ewers and a cup of pure drink; 18 Wherefrom they will get neither any aching of the head, nor any intoxication. 19 along with fruits of their choice; 20 and any flesh of fowl that they desire. 21 And there will be fair ones large eyed. 22 like unto pearls [still] hidden in their shells. 23 Reward for what they used to do. 24 There they shall hear no idle talk nor any sinful speech. 25 Except the saying, “Peace, peace.” 26 NOW AS FOR those who have attained to righteousness - what of those who have attained to righteousness? 27 They will live amid the thornless lot trees 28 Bananatrees, piled 29 In shade long-extended, 30 near to flowing water 31 And fruit in plenty 32 That will neither finish, nor ever be stopped. 33 And [with them will be their] spouses, raised high: 34 We have indeed developed these women with an excellent development. 35 And made them virginal, 36 intensely loving and of matching age. 37 For those on the Right Hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
