The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ WHEN WHAT IS to happen comes to pass -- 1 There is no belying its coming to pass-- 2 It will bring down [some] and raise up [others]. 3 When the earth is shaken 4 and the mountains are shattered into [countless] shards, 5 So they will become like fine dust, scattered in a shaft of light. 6 you shall be divided into three parties, 7 Those on the Right -- how blessed are those on the Right! 8 Companions of the Left, what are the Companions of the Left? 9 And the forerunners, the forerunners - 10 those are they brought near (to their Lord) 11 In the gardens of bliss. 12 (a throng of the ancients 13 And a few from among the latter. 14 [They will be seated] on gold-encrusted thrones of happiness, 15 Reclining therein face to face. 16 they will be waited on by ageless youths 17 Cups and decanters, beakers full of sparkling wine, 18 Wherefrom they get no aching of the head nor any madness, 19 And fruit; that they may choose. 20 and the meat of any bird that they may desire; 21 And (there are) fair ones with wide, lovely eyes, 22 like unto pearls [still] hidden in their shells. 23 The reward for what they did. 24 No empty talk will they hear there, nor any call to sin, 25 Except the word peace, peace. 26 And the fellows on the right hand; how be happy shall the fellows on the right hand be! 27 mid thornless lote-trees 28 And [banana] trees layered [with fruit] 29 and spreading shade 30 and flowing water, 31 And fruit in plenty, 32 unfailing and not forbidden. 33 and raised couches 34 We have created (their Companions) of special creation. 35 and made them virgins, 36 full of love, well-matched 37 For the sake of the companions of the right hand. 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
