The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the Occurrence occurs, 1 And there can be no denying of its befalling. 2 abasing [some,] exalting [others]! 3 When the earth is shaken up convulsively, 4 The mountains bruised and crushed, 5 So that they become dust seattered. 6 you shall be divided into three parties, 7 The people of the right hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their right hands. How happy they will be! 8 Then those of the left hand -- how (unhappy) will be those of the left hand! 9 Then the foremost, how pre-excellent, 10 These will be those Nearest to Allah: 11 In Gardens of Delight. 12 a host of the ancients 13 and how few of the later folk) 14 [They will be seated] on gold-encrusted thrones of happiness, 15 reclining upon them, facing one another [in love]. 16 Surrounded by immortal boys. 17 with goblets and ewers and a cup filled with a drink drawn from a running spring, 18 Unheady, uninebriating; 19 they will also go about them with the fruits of which they may choose, 20 And meat of birds that they may wish. 21 And pure, beautiful ones, 22 Like unto preserved pearls. 23 The reward for what they did. 24 There they shall hear no idle talk nor any sinful speech. 25 All talk will be sound and upright. 26 NOW AS FOR those who have attained to righteousness - what of those who have attained to righteousness? 27 Among thornless lote-trees 28 And plantains laden with fruit. 29 and shade extended, 30 Gushing water, 31 And fruit in abundance. 32 Unending, unforbidden, 33 And [upon] beds raised high. 34 Verily, We have created them (maidens) of special creation. 35 And made them virginal, 36 loving companions, matching in age, 37 like of age for the Companions of the Right. 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
