The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the forthcoming event does occur. 1 Then will no (soul) entertain falsehood concerning its coming. 2 Degrading (some) and exalting (others); 3 when the earth shall be rocked 4 and the mountains are totally shattered and crumble to pieces 5 Turned to dust, floating in the air, 6 And you shall be three sorts. 7 Companions of the Right, what are the Companions of the Right? 8 Then those of the left hand -- how (unhappy) will be those of the left hand! 9 But the foremost shall be [they who in life were] the foremost [in faith and good works]: 10 It is they who are the close ones. 11 In the gardens of bliss. 12 A [large] company of the former peoples 13 but [only] a few of later times. 14 upon close-wrought couches 15 Reclining face to face. 16 There will circulate among them young boys made eternal 17 with goblets, and ewers, and cups filled with water from unsullied springs 18 a drink by which their minds will not be clouded nor will it cause drunkenness; 19 And fruit of what they select 20 and the flesh of birds, as they desire. 21 And pure, beautiful ones, 22 as the likeness of hidden pearls, 23 a recompense for all that they did. 24 No Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk) will they hear therein, nor any sinful speech (like backbiting, etc.). 25 Only a saying: "Peace, peace." 26 The Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 27 They shall be in the midst of thornless lote trees, 28 And acacia covered with heaps of bloom, 29 And in everlasting shade. 30 near to flowing water 31 And fruit in abundance. 32 Neither out of reach nor yet forbidden, 33 and raised couches 34 Verily We! We have created those maidens by a creation. 35 and shall have made them virgins, 36 loving and of equal age. 37 For the companions of the right [who are] 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
