The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the Event (the resurrection) comes 1 Then none will be able to deny its occurrence. 2 Abasing exalting. 3 When the earth is shaken 4 and the mountains crumbled 5 And become dust dispersing. 6 you shall be divided into three parties, 7 Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 8 Companions of the Left, what are the Companions of the Left? 9 And the foremost are the foremost, 10 those are they brought nigh the Throne, 11 in the Gardens of Delight, 12 A multitude of those (foremost) will be from the first generations (who embraced Islam). 13 and how few of the later folk) 14 On studded thrones. 15 reclining on them, arrayed face to face; 16 immortal youths shall go about them 17 with goblets, and ewers, and cups filled with water from unsullied springs 18 Whereby there shall be neither headiness nor will they be inebriated. 19 with fruits of their own choice 20 Bird meats that they relish, 21 And there will be fair ones large eyed. 22 Like unto Pearls well-guarded. 23 As reward for what they used to do. 24 They will not hear any unnecessary or sinful talk 25 Only the saying, "Peace! Peace". 26 Those on the Right, how fortunate are those on the Right! 27 They will be in (the shade) of thornless lote 28 and serried acacias, 29 And spreading shade, 30 And water poured out 31 And fruit in abundance. 32 Whose season is not limited, and their supply will not be cut off, 33 And raised couches. 34 Verily, We have created them (maidens) of special creation. 35 And made them virgins. 36 Loving companions matched in age, 37 For the companions of the right [who are] 38
