The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When there happeneth the Event. 1 Then will no (soul) entertain falsehood concerning its coming. 2 It will bring down [some] and raise up [others]. 3 When the earth is shaken with convulsion 4 And the mountains shall be crumbled to atoms, 5 and become a dust, scattered, 6 [on that Day] you shall be divided into three groups. 7 The people of the right hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their right hands. How happy they will be! 8 And those on the left how (wretched) are those on the left! 9 Then the foremost, how pre-excellent, 10 It is they who are the close ones. 11 In gardens of delight; 12 a host of the ancients 13 and a lesser number from the later generations. 14 On couches in wrought with gold. 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 There wait on them immortal youths 17 With goblets and ewers and a cup of pure drink; 18 (no brows throbbing, no intoxication) 19 And fruits that they may like. 20 And the flesh of fowl such as they desire. 21 And [for them are] fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes, 22 Like pearls safely hidden. 23 A reward for what they used to do. 24 Therein they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 Only the saying, "Peace! Peace". 26 And those on the right hand; what of those on the right hand? 27 [They, too, will find themselves] amidst fruit laden lote-trees, 28 and clustered bananas, 29 Lengthened shadows, 30 and flowing water, 31 And plenty of fruits. 32 undiminished and never denied 33 And raised couches; 34 Verily, We have created them (maidens) of special creation. 35 And made them virgin - pure (and undefiled), - 36 loving companions, matching in age, 37 for the people of the right hand 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
