The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When there happeneth the Event. 1 there is no denying its coming 2 abasing, exalting, 3 when the earth will suddenly shake with a terrible shaking, 4 And the hills are ground to powder 5 Becoming dust scattered abroad, 6 And you become [of] three kinds: 7 The People on the Right: and how fortunate will be the People on the Right! 8 And (as to) the companions of the left hand; how wretched are the companions of the left hand! 9 And the preceders are the preceders. 10 those are they brought nigh the Throne, 11 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise). 12 A [large] company of the former peoples 13 And a few of those of later time. 14 On studded thrones. 15 reclining on them, arrayed face to face; 16 There wait on them immortal youths 17 with goblets and ewers and a cup filled with a drink drawn from a running spring, 18 Their heads shall not ache with it, nor shall they lose their senses. 19 And fruit; that they may choose. 20 And the flesh of fowls that they desire. 21 They will have maidens with large, lovely black and white eyes, 22 The likes unto pearls hidden. 23 as reward for their deeds. 24 No Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk) will they hear therein, nor any sinful speech (like backbiting, etc.). 25 Except the word peace, peace. 26 As for those of the right hand -- how (happy) those of the right hand -- 27 Amid thornless lote-trees, 28 And [banana] trees layered [with fruit] 29 And extended shade, 30 By water flowing constantly, 31 And fruit in abundance. 32 Neither intercepted nor forbidden, 33 And maidens incomparable. 34 for, behold, We shall have brought them into being in a life renewed, 35 And made them virginal, 36 Loving, equals in age, 37 For those of the right hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
