The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the Event (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) befalls. 1 Then none will be able to deny its occurrence. 2 abasing [some,] exalting [others]! 3 When the earth is shaken violently, 4 And the hills are ground to powder 5 Turned to dust, floating in the air, 6 You shall then become three groups. 7 Then (as to) the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand! 8 Companions of the Left, what are the Companions of the Left? 9 And the foremost in the race, the foremost in the race: 10 Those are the ones brought near [to Allah] 11 In Gardens of Delight. 12 Many of them will be from the ancient people 13 And a few of later ages, 14 On lined couches, 15 Reclining therein face to face. 16 Immortal youths will serve them 17 Carrying bowls and pitchers and cups filled with wine flowing before them. 18 (no brows throbbing, no intoxication) 19 along with fruits of their choice; 20 and the meat of any bird that they may desire; 21 And [with them will be their] companions pure, most beautiful of eye, 22 Like pearls safely hidden. 23 as reward for their deeds. 24 They shall not hear therein vain or sinful discourse, 25 Only a saying: "Peace, peace." 26 As for the People on the Right, how fortunate shall be the people on the Right! 27 Midst lote-trees thornless. 28 Among Talh trees with flowers (or fruits) piled one above another,- 29 and spreading shade 30 By water flowing constantly, 31 And fruit in abundance. 32 Neither limited [to season] nor forbidden, 33 And [with them will be their] spouses, raised high: 34 Indeed We formed them (the houris and all believing women), 35 and made them virgins, 36 Loving, of equal age. 37 For the sake of the companions of the right hand. 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
