The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the Event (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) befalls. 1 And there can be no denying of its befalling. 2 It will bring down [some] and raise up [others]. 3 When the earth will tremble, shivering. 4 And the mountains are broken down, crumbling 5 Becoming dust scattered abroad, 6 and you shall be three bands -- 7 Thus, there shall be such as will have attained to what is right: oh, how [happy] will be they who have attained to what is right! 8 And (then) those on the left hand; what of those on the left hand? 9 The foremost ones (in faith and virtue) - the foremost ones in receiving their reward. 10 They shall be near-stationed (to their Lord), 11 In gardens of delight; 12 A throng of the ancients, 13 And a few of the later peoples, 14 upon close-wrought couches 15 Reclining on them, facing one another. 16 Immortal youths will serve them 17 carrying goblets and ewers and cups filled with the purest wine, 18 which will not cause them any intoxication or illness. 19 And with fruits, any that they may select: 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire to eat; 21 And wide eyed houris 22 like unto pearls [still] hidden in their shells. 23 The reward for what they did. 24 They will not hear therein any vain or sinful talk, 25 Nought but the saying: peace! peace! 26 As for the people of the right hand, how happy they will be! 27 Among thornless lote-trees 28 and flower-clad acacias, 29 and shade extended, 30 By water flowing constantly, 31 And fruits numberless, 32 unfailing, unforbidden, 33 And [upon] beds raised high. 34 Indeed We formed them (the houris and all believing women), 35 And made them virgins, 36 Loving companions matched in age, 37 All this will be for the People on the Right; 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
