A numerous company from among the first, 39 and a good many of later times. 40 BUT AS FOR those who have persevered in evil - what of those who have persevered in evil? 41 Will be in the scorching wind and boiling water, 42 and under the shadow of black smoke, 43 which will neither be cool nor soothing. 44 For, behold, in times gone by they were wont to abandon themselves wholly to the pursuit of pleasures, 45 and would persist in heinous sinning, 46 ever saying, 'What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised up? 47 And also our forefathers? 48 Say: "Verily, those of olden times and those of later times 49 will indeed be gathered together at an appointed time on a Day known [only to God]: 50 Then you, you misguided ones, who deny the truth, 51 shall all eat from the Tree of al-Zaqqum, 52 Fill your bellies with it, 53 and thereupon you shall drink boiling water, 54 "Indeed ye shall drink like diseased camels raging with thirst!" 55 Such shall be your hospitality on the Day of Recompense. 56 We created you, why will you not believe! 57 Have you seen sperm? 58 Did you create it or was it We who created it? 59 It is We who have ordained death for all of you; and We cannot be prevented 60 In order that We may bring in your place the likes of you and make you grow into what you know not. 61 And assuredly ye have fully known the first production wherefore heed ye not? 62 And have you seen that [seed] which you sow? 63 Is it you who makes it grow, or are We the grower? 64 If We will, We would make it broken stubble and you would remain wondering, 65 (Saying), "We are indeed left with debts (for nothing): 66 Indeed, we have been deprived of the fruits of our labour." 67 Have you seen the water which you drink? 68 Do ye bring it down (in rain) from the cloud or do We? 69 If We so pleased, We certainly could make it salty. Why, then, are you not grateful? 70 Did you consider the fire which you kindle? 71 Is it you who have produced its tree or is it We who have produced it? 72 We have made it a Reminder (for the Hell-fire, in the Hereafter); and an article of use for the travellers (and all the others, in this world). 73 Extol, then, the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's mighty name! 74

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
