These (people of the right hand) consist of many from the ancient 39 and a large group of those of later times. 40 As for the People on the Left: how miserable will be the People on the Left! 41 They will find themselves in scorching wind and scalding water, 42 And in the shadow of a burning smoke. 43 neither cool nor good. 44 Verily, before that, they indulged in luxury, 45 and had persisted in the Great Sin. 46 and constantly said: 'What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we then be restored to life? 47 Or our fathers of yore? 48 Say thou: verily the ancients and those of later generations: 49 shall all be brought together on an appointed Day. 50 Then you, the erring and the deniers, 51 Shall surely eat of the tree of Az-Zqqum. 52 "Then will ye fill your insides therewith, 53 and drink on top of that boiling water 54 drink it as the most insatiably thirsty camels drink!" 55 Such will be their welcome on the Day of Judgement. 56 We have created you, so why do you not believe? 57 Have you thought about what (sperm) you ejaculate? 58 Do you make a human out of it, or is it We Who create? 59 We have decreed death among you, and We are not to be outdone 60 From replacing you with others or raising you in a way you do not know. 61 You certainly knew about (your) first development. Why do you not take heed? 62 Have you considered what you sow? 63 Do you yourselves sow it, or are We the Sowers? 64 If We will, We would make it broken stubble and you would remain wondering, 65 "Verily, we are ruined! 66 Rather, we have been prevented' 67 Tell Me! The water that you drink. 68 Do ye bring it down (in rain) from the cloud or do We? 69 If We willed, We verily could make it salt (and undrinkable), why then do you not give thanks (to Allah)? 70 Have you thought about the fire you kindle? 71 Did you produce the tree that serves as fuel or do We? 72 We have made it a memorial (of Our handiwork), and an article of comfort and convenience for the denizens of deserts. 73 So glorify your Lord, the most supreme. 74
