▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 2 of 3
A multitude of those (on the Right Hand) will be from the first generation (who embraced Islam). 39 and a throng of the later folk. 40 And those of the left hand, how wretched are those of the left hand! 41 [They will be] in scorching fire and scalding water 42 And shadow of black smoke, 43 neither cool nor good. 44 They had lived in luxury before this 45 And persisted obstinately in wickedness supreme! 46 And they were wont to say: when we have died and become dust and bones, shall we, then, verily be raised? 47 And also our forefathers? 48 Say: The first and the last, 49 Shall most surely be gathered together for the appointed hour of a known day. 50 Then you, the erring and the deniers, 51 Ye verily will eat of a tree called Zaqqum 52 and you shall fill therewith your bellies 53 and on top of this you will drink boiling water 54 You shall drink it as the thirsty camels drink." 55 Thus shall they be entertained on the Day of Recompense. 56 We created you; therefore why will you not believe? 57 Just consider (the semen) that you emit, 58 did you create it or did We? 59 It was We who decreed death among you. We will not be surpassed 60 from changing the nature of your existence and bringing you into being [anew] in a manner [as yet] unknown to you. 61 And ye certainly know already the first form of creation: why then do ye not celebrate His praises? 62 Have you considered the soil you till? 63 Is it you that make it grow, or are We the Grower? 64 If We will We can make it like dry trampled hay, so you would keep crying out. 65 That, “We have indeed been penalised!” 66 nay, we have been robbed!' 67 Behold! the water which ye drink: 68 Send it down ye from the raincloud, or are We the Sender down? 69 If We will We can make it bitter, so why do you not give thanks? 70 So what is your opinion regarding the fire which you kindle? 71 Is it you who have brought into being the tree that serves as its fuel - or are We the cause of its coming into being? 72 It is We who have made it a means to remind [you of Us,] and a comfort for all who are lost and hungry in the wilderness [of their lives]. 73 So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. 74

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
