a multitude of the ancients, 39 And a numerous company from among the last. 40 BUT AS FOR those who have persevered in evil - what of those who have persevered in evil? 41 Will be in the scorching wind and boiling water, 42 And shadow of black smoke, 43 Neither cool nor refreshing. 44 For, behold, in times gone by they were wont to abandon themselves wholly to the pursuit of pleasures, 45 and had persisted in the Great Sin. 46 And they were wont to say: when we have died and become dust and bones, shall we, then, verily be raised? 47 What, and our fathers, the ancients?' 48 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "(Yes) verily, those of old, and those of later times. 49 Are to be gathered together for the appointment of a known Day." 50 Then you, the erring and the deniers, 51 Shall surely eat of the tree of Az-Zqqum. 52 filling your bellies with it; 53 and thereupon you shall drink boiling water, 54 Drinking even as the camel drinketh. 55 Such will be their welcome on Judgment Day! 56 We created you; therefore why will you not believe? 57 Do ye then see?- The (human Seed) that ye throw out,- 58 Is it you who create it (i.e. make this semen into a perfect human being), or are We the Creator? 59 It is We Who ordained death upon you and We are not to be frustrated. 60 from changing your Forms and creating you (again) in (forms) that ye know not. 61 You are well aware of the first creation; then, do you learn no lesson from it? 62 Have ye seen that which ye cultivate? 63 Is it you or We Who make them grow? 64 If We will, We would make it broken stubble and you would remain wondering, 65 (Saying), "We are indeed left with debts (for nothing): 66 nay; we have been undone!” 67 Have you considered the water that you drink? 68 Is it you that send it down from the clouds, or are We the senders? 69 Were it Our Will, We could make it salt (and unpalatable): then why do ye not give thanks? 70 Have you thought about the fire you kindle? 71 Is it you who produced its tree, or are We the producer? 72 We made it a reminder and a provision for the needy. 73 Then glorify with praises the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. 74

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
There are memorization exercises for the original Arabic and English transliterated Arabic modes only. The English translation mode has no memorization exercises.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
