a multitude of the ancients, 39 and also a large throng from those of later times. 40 And those on the Left Hand Who will be those on the Left Hand? 41 In hot wind and boiling water, 42 And a shade of black smoke, 43 [shadows] neither cooling nor soothing. 44 They had lived in luxury before this 45 But persisted in that greater sin, 46 And they used to say: When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then, forsooth, be raised again, 47 And our forefathers [as well]?" 48 Proclaim, “Without doubt all the former and the latter.” 49 will be brought together for an appointment on an appointed day. 50 Then indeed you, O those astray [who are] deniers, 51 you shall eat (the fruit) of the Tree of Zakkum. 52 and fill your bellies with it, 53 "And drink boiling water on top of it, 54 "So you will drink (that) like thirsty camels!" 55 Such will be their entertainment on the Day of Requital! 56 It is We Who have created you: why will ye not witness the Truth? 57 Just consider (the semen) that you emit, 58 Is it ye who create it, or are We the Creators? 59 We have decreed Death to be your common lot, and We are not to be frustrated 60 Had We so wished, nothing could have hindered Us from replacing you by others like yourselves, or transforming you into beings you know nothing about. 61 You have known the first creation, then why do you not reflect? 62 Have you considered the seeds you till? 63 Is it ye that cause it to grow, or are We the Cause? 64 If We willed, surely We would make it chaff, so that ye would be left wondering. 65 (Saying), "We are indeed left with debts (for nothing): 66 Nay, but we are deprived! 67 Consider the water that you drink. 68 Do you send it down from the clouds, or We send it down? 69 Did We will, We would make it bitter; so why are you not thankful? 70 Tell Me! The fire which you kindle, 71 Is it you that produce the trees for it, or are We the producers? 72 We have made it to be a reminder and a benefit for the wayfarers. 73 Then magnify the Name of thy Lord, the All-mighty. 74

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
