▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Then I swear by the setting of the stars, 75 And verily, that is indeed a great oath, if you but know. 76 That (this) is indeed an honourable recital (the Noble Quran). 77 in a hidden Book 78 no one can touch it except the purified ones. 79 It is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 80 Then is it to this statement that you are indifferent 81 And make denial thereof your livelihood? 82 Why, then, when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man,] 83 right before your very eyes? 84 But We (i.e. Our angels who take the soul) are nearer to him than you, but you see not, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 209] 85 Then why, if you are not indebted (to Us for life), 86 Do ye not force it back, if ye are truthful? 87 (If a dying soul) is of those near to God, 88 Then breath of life, and plenty, and a Garden of delight. 89 If it is of the people of the right hand, 90 There will be the salutation by those of the right hand: "Peace on you. 91 If it is of those who have rejected the Truth and have gone astray, 92 He shall have an entertainment of boiling water, 93 He will burn in Hell. 94 Most surely this is a certain truth. 95 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Supreme. 96
God the Almighty always says the truth.
