▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ No! I swear by the fallings of the stars 75 And verily, that is indeed a great oath, if you but know. 76 That it is a Recitation honourable. 77 In a Book well-guarded (with Allah in the heaven i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 78 which none but the pure may touch; 79 A Revelation (this Quran) from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 80 Do you then hold this announcement in contempt? 81 do you make it your provision to belie it? 82 So why was it not, when the soul reaches up to the throat, – 83 Whereas you watch at that moment! 84 and while We are closer to him than you, although you see [Us] not: 85 if you are not subject to anyone's authority, 86 do you not bring back his soul, if you speak truly? 87 Then, if he be of those brought nigh the Throne, 88 Then [for him is] rest and bounty and a garden of pleasure. 89 And if he be of the fellows on the right hand, 90 Then [the angels will say], "Peace for you; [you are] from the companions of the right." 91 But if he is one of those who rejected [the truth] and went astray, 92 Then an entertainment of boiling water. 93 and the heat of hell fire. 94 Indeed, this is the certain truth. 95 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Great One. 96

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
