۞ I do not need to swear by the setting of the stars 75 and, indeed, that is a most mighty oath, if you only knew -- 76 That it is a Recitation honourable. 77 in a well-guarded preserved Book, 78 None may touch it, except with ablution. 79 It is a revelation sent down from the Lord of the worlds. 80 So is this the matter regarding which you laze? 81 and your portion in it is simply that you denounce it as false? 82 Then why do ye not (intervene) when (the soul of the dying man) reaches the throat,- 83 the while you are helplessly watching that he is on the verge of death, 84 And We are nearer to him than you are, but you cannot see. 85 Then why do you not, if you are exempt from the reckoning and recompense (punishment, etc.) 86 do you not cause the soul to return to him if you are truthful in your claim? 87 But if he [the dying person] is one of those brought near to God, 88 there shall be calmness and ease, a Garden of Delight. 89 And if one happens to be of those who have attained to righteousness, 90 Then upon you is the greetings of peace (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), from those on the right. 91 And if he be of the beliers, the erring, 92 then he will be served boiling water, 93 and the roasting in Hell. 94 Indeed, this is the certain truth. 95 Then magnify the Name of thy Lord, the All-mighty. 96
