▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ But nay! I swear by the falling of stars; 75 And lo! that verily is a tremendous oath, if ye but knew - 76 that this is an honorable Quran 77 in a well-guarded preserved Book, 78 None touch it except the purified. 79 A Revelation (this Quran) from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 And make it your provision that ye should belie it? 82 Then why do ye not (intervene) when (the soul of the dying man) reaches the throat,- 83 and you are [at that moment] looking on [helplessly] -- 84 We are closer to him than you, even though you cannot see? 85 Why then, if ye are not in bondage (unto Us), 86 Can you not bring him back? (Answer) if you are truthful 87 Thus, then, if he be of those Nearest to Allah, 88 there shall be calmness and ease, a Garden of Delight. 89 And if he is one of those on the right hand, 90 Then [the angels will say], "Peace for you; [you are] from the companions of the right." 91 But if he is of the rejecters, the erring, 92 then he will be served boiling water, 93 And roasting at hell-fire. 94 Verily this! this is the very truth. 95 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Supreme. 96
True are the words of God the Almighty.
