▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Nay, I swear by the places of the stars - 75 And this surely is great evidence if you can understand -- 76 That (this) is indeed a noble Qur'an 77 In a Book Hidden. 78 None may touch it, except with ablution. 79 A Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 Then why do you dissimulate this Revelation? 81 And make it your provision that ye should belie it? 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat, 83 And you at the moment are looking on, 84 But We are nearer to him than ye, and yet see not,- 85 Then why do ye not,- If you are exempt from (future) account,- 86 That you bring it back, if you are truthful? 87 And if the deceased was of those brought near to Allah, 88 Then [for him is] rest and bounty and a garden of pleasure. 89 And if he is one of the People on the Right, 90 he will be greeted with, "Peace be to you," by those on the Right. 91 If it is of those who have rejected the Truth and have gone astray, 92 a welcome of burning despair [awaits him in the life to come,] 93 And a hurling into the blazing fire. 94 Lo! this is certain truth. 95 Therefor (O Muhammad) praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous. 96
