▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ NAY, I call to witness the coming-down in parts [of this Qur'an] 75 And that is indeed a tremendous oath, if you understand. 76 Most surely it is an honored Quran, 77 in a Book protected (from tampering) 78 no one can touch it except the purified ones. 79 (This Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Do you then hold this announcement in contempt? 81 And have ye made it your livelihood that ye should declare it false? 82 Why, but when the soul leaps to the throat of the dying 83 And you at the moment are looking on, 84 And We are nigher unto him than ye are, but ye behold not 85 Wherefore then, if ye are not to be requited 86 why can you not bring it (the soul) back (to life)? 87 [ALL OF YOU are destined to die.] Now if one happens to be of those who are drawn close unto God, 88 Then happiness and bounty and a garden of bliss. 89 If he is of those of the right hand, 90 There will be the salutation by those of the right hand: "Peace on you. 91 But if one happens to be of those who are wont to call the truth a lie, and [thus] go astray, 92 there shall be a hospitality of boiling water, 93 And roasting at hell-fire. 94 This is indeed an utmost certainty. 95 So glorify the name of your Great Lord. 96

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
