۞ Nay, I swear by the setting of the stars -- 75 And that is indeed a mighty adjuration if ye but knew,- 76 That it is a Recitation honourable. 77 in a well-guarded preserved Book, 78 which none can touch except the purified. 79 It is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 80 Do you, then, take this discourse in light esteem, 81 and your portion in it is simply that you denounce it as false? 82 Why, then, when (the soul) cometh up to the throat (of the dying) 83 the while you are helplessly watching that he is on the verge of death, 84 And We are nigher unto him than ye are, but ye behold not 85 Then why do you not, if you are exempt from the reckoning and recompense (punishment, etc.) 86 Cause ye it not to return, if ye say sooth? 87 Then if he be of the broughtnigh. 88 then for him there shall be comfort and plenty and a Garden of Bliss; 89 and if he is of those who are on the Right, 90 Then upon you is the greetings of peace (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), from those on the right. 91 And if he be of the beliers, the erring, 92 then he will be served boiling water, 93 and a roasting in Hell. 94 This is indeed the indubitable truth. 95 Therefor (O Muhammad) praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous. 96
