۞ Nay, I swear by the setting of the stars -- 75 and, behold, this is indeed a most solemn affirmation, if you but knew it! 76 That this is indeed a qur'an Most Honourable, 77 [conveyed unto man] in a well-guarded divine writ 78 Which none shall touch but those who are clean: 79 A revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 And make it your provision that ye should belie it? 82 Why, then, when (the soul) cometh up to the throat (of the dying) 83 And ye are then looking on. 84 – at that moment when We are closer to him than you, although you do not see (Us) 85 Then why do you not, if you are not to be recompensed, 86 do you not cause the soul to return to him if you are truthful in your claim? 87 [ALL OF YOU are destined to die.] Now if one happens to be of those who are drawn close unto God, 88 Then is relief, and flowers – and Gardens of peace. 89 And if he (the dying person) be of those on the Right Hand, 90 Then peace to you from those on the right hand. 91 But if he (the dying person) be of the denying (of the Resurrection), the erring (away from the Right Path of Islamic Monotheism), 92 Then [for him is] accommodation of scalding water 93 And burning in hell. 94 Lo! this is certain truth. 95 So celebrate with praises the name of thy Lord, the Supreme. 96
