▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Nay, I swear by the setting of the stars -- 75 And most surely it is a very great oath if you only knew; 76 that this is an honorable Quran 77 In a Register well-protected; 78 which none but the pure [of heart] can touch: 79 A Revelation (this Quran) from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 80 Would you say that this statement is a lie? 81 And instead (of thanking Allah) for the provision He gives you, on the contrary, you deny Him (by disbelief)! 82 Then why do ye not (intervene) when (the soul of the dying man) reaches the throat,- 83 and that hour you are watching 84 We are nearer to him than you, but you do not see 85 So why is it not, that if you are not to be repaid, – 86 Can you not bring him back? (Answer) if you are truthful 87 Then if he is one of those drawn nigh (to Allah), 88 there shall be repose and ease, and a Garden of Delight; 89 And if he is one of those on the right hand, 90 [he, too, will be welcomed into paradise with the words,] "Peace be unto thee [that art] of those who have attained to righteousness!" 91 And if he be of those who treat (Truth) as Falsehood, who go wrong, 92 then he will be served boiling water, 93 And burning in hell. 94 Indeed, this is the true certainty, 95 So exalt the Name of your Lord, the Great. 96
True are the words of God the Almighty.
