▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ NAY, I call to witness the coming-down in parts [of this Qur'an] 75 And most surely it is a very great oath if you only knew; 76 that this is an honorable Quran 77 inscribed in a well-guarded Book, 78 Which none can touch except the purified. 79 It is a revelation sent down from the Lord of the worlds. 80 How can you regard this discourse with disdain? 81 And make [the thanks for] your provision that you deny [the Provider]? 82 Why, but when the soul leaps to the throat of the dying 83 right before your very eyes? 84 And We are nearer to him than you are, but you cannot see. 85 Then why is it not-- if you are not held under authority-- 86 Bring it back, if you should be truthful? 87 So if he is one of those who are near-stationed (to Allah), 88 happiness [awaits him in the life to come,] and inner fulfillment, and a garden of bliss. 89 And if he (the dying person) be of those on the Right Hand, 90 'Peace be upon thee, Companion of the Right!' 91 But if he (the dying person) be of the denying (of the Resurrection), the erring (away from the Right Path of Islamic Monotheism), 92 Then an entertainment of boiling water. 93 And burning in hell. 94 This is indeed the ultimate truth. 95 Then praise your Lord, the most supreme. 96

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
