▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ So I swear by Mawaqi (setting or the mansions, etc.) of the stars (they traverse). 75 And verily, that is indeed a great oath, if you but know. 76 that this is an honorable Quran 77 in a Book protected (from tampering) 78 Which none toucheth save the purified, 79 A revelation by the Lord of the worlds. 80 Is it such a talk (this Quran) that you (disbelievers) deny? 81 And make denial thereof your livelihood? 82 Why, but when the soul leaps to the throat of the dying 83 And you are at that time looking on - 84 and while We are closer to him than you, although you see [Us] not: 85 why then, if you are not revived, 86 Call back the soul, if ye are true (in the claim of independence)? 87 Then, if he (the dying person) be of the Muqarrabun (those brought near to Allah), 88 For him shall be comfort, and fragrance and a Garden of Delight. 89 And if he be of the fellows on the right hand, 90 he will be greeted with, "Peace be to you," by those on the Right. 91 And if he is one of the rejecters, the erring ones, 92 then he will be served boiling water, 93 And a hurling into the blazing fire. 94 This is indeed the ultimate truth. 95 Therefor (O Muhammad) praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous. 96

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
