▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I do not need to swear by the setting of the stars 75 And indeed, it is an oath - if you could know - [most] great. 76 That (this) is indeed a noble Qur'an 77 (Inscribed) in the well-kept Book. 78 None may touch it, except with ablution. 79 a revelation from the Sustainer of all the worlds! 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 and make it your daily bread [as it were] to call the truth a lie? 82 So why was it not, when the soul reaches up to the throat, – 83 And you at that time look on-- 84 And We are nearer to him than you are, but you cannot see. 85 So why is it not, that if you are not to be repaid, – 86 do you not bring back his soul, if you speak truly? 87 Thus, then, if he be of those Nearest to Allah, 88 There will be peace and plenty, and gardens of tranquility for him. 89 And if he was of the companions of the right, 90 Then [the angels will say], "Peace for you; [you are] from the companions of the right." 91 But if he is of the rejecters, the erring, 92 The welcome will be boiling water 93 And roasting at hell-fire. 94 Verily, this is indeed the truth of truths! 95 So exalt the Name of your Lord, the Great. 96
True are the words of God the Almighty.
