▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ So I swear by the setting places of the stars. 75 And verily that is a mighty oath, if ye but knew! 76 This is indeed the noble Qur’an. 77 in a well-guarded preserved Book, 78 which none but the pure [of heart] can touch: 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Then is it to this statement that you are indifferent 81 And instead (of thanking Allah) for the provision He gives you, on the contrary, you deny Him (by disbelief)! 82 Why is it not then that when it (soul) comes up to the throat, 83 And you at the moment are looking on, 84 and while We are closer to him than you, although you see [Us] not: 85 if you are not subject to anyone's authority, 86 That you send it (not) back-- if you are truthful? 87 Then if he be of the broughtnigh. 88 There will be peace and plenty, and gardens of tranquility for him. 89 And if he is one of the People on the Right, 90 Then peace to you from those on the right hand. 91 And if he is from the deniers, the astray, – 92 a welcome of burning despair [awaits him in the life to come,] 93 and a roasting in Hell. 94 Indeed, this is the true certainty, 95 So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96
