▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ So I swear by the setting places of the stars. 75 And indeed, it is an oath - if you could know - [most] great. 76 that this is indeed a noble Quran, 77 In Book well-guarded, 78 no one can touch it except the purified ones. 79 A revelation by the Lord of the worlds. 80 Do you then hold this announcement in contempt? 81 And make [the thanks for] your provision that you deny [the Provider]? 82 Then why do you not (intervene) when (the soul of a dying person) reaches the throat? 83 and you are watching at that time 84 – at that moment when We are closer to him than you, although you do not see (Us) 85 why, then, if [you think that] you are not truly dependent [on Us,] 86 That you send it (not) back-- if you are truthful? 87 If he is among the near 88 Then is relief, and flowers – and Gardens of peace. 89 And if he is one of the People on the Right, 90 it will be with the people of the right hand, living in peace and security. 91 And if he be of the beliers, the erring, 92 Then his reception is the hot boiling water. 93 And burning in Hell-fire. 94 Verily, this is the Very Truth and Certainly. 95 So glorify the name of your Great Lord. 96
