▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ NAY, I call to witness the coming-down in parts [of this Qur'an] 75 and, behold, this is indeed a most solemn affirmation, if you but knew it! 76 That (this) is indeed an honourable recital (the Noble Quran). 77 in a Book protected (from tampering) 78 Which none can touch except the purified. 79 (This Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 And make [the thanks for] your provision that you deny [the Provider]? 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat of the dying 83 the while you are [helplessly] looking on 84 And We are nigher unto him than ye are, but ye behold not 85 Why then, if ye are not in bondage (unto Us), 86 can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true? 87 (If a dying soul) is of those near to God, 88 Then [for him is] rest and bounty and a garden of pleasure. 89 And if he is one of the People on the Right, 90 Then [the angels will say], "Peace for you; [you are] from the companions of the right." 91 But if he (the dying person) be of the denying (of the Resurrection), the erring (away from the Right Path of Islamic Monotheism), 92 For him is Entertainment with Boiling Water. 93 And a hurling into the blazing fire. 94 Verily this! this is the very truth. 95 Therefor (O Muhammad) praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous. 96
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
