▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I swear by the fallings of the stars 75 and that is a mighty oath, if you but knew 76 That (this) is indeed an honourable recital (the Noble Quran). 77 In a Register well-protected; 78 which none shall touch except the purified; 79 A Revelation (this Quran) from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 80 Is it such a Message that ye would hold in light esteem? 81 and make it your daily bread [as it were] to call the truth a lie? 82 Then why do ye not (intervene) when (the soul of the dying man) reaches the throat,- 83 and you are [at that moment] looking on [helplessly] -- 84 And We are nearer to it than you, but you do not see-- 85 Then why do ye not,- If you are exempt from (future) account,- 86 why can you not bring it (the soul) back (to life)? 87 And if the deceased was of those brought near to Allah, 88 Then breath of life, and plenty, and a Garden of delight. 89 and if he be a Companion of the Right: 90 Then upon you is the greetings of peace (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), from those on the right. 91 And if he is one of those who give the lie (to this Message) and go astray, 92 Then the welcome will be boiling water 93 He will burn in Hell. 94 Most surely this is a certain truth. 95 So glorify with praises the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96
True are the words of God the Almighty.
