۞ Then I swear by the setting of the stars, 75 and, indeed, that is a most mighty oath, if you only knew -- 76 Behold, it is a truly noble discourse, 77 preserved in a hidden Book which 78 Which (that Book with Allah) none can touch but the purified (i.e. the angels). 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Is it this discourse that ye hold lightly? 81 And have ye made it your livelihood that ye should declare it false? 82 Why, then, when the soul of the dying man reaches the throat, 83 And you are at that time looking on - 84 We are nearer to him than you, but you do not see 85 Then why do you not, if you are not to be recompensed, 86 do you not bring back his soul, if you speak truly? 87 Then if he is one of those drawn nigh (to Allah), 88 there shall be repose and ease, and a Garden of Delight; 89 And if he (the dying person) be of those on the Right Hand, 90 Then upon you is the greetings of peace (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), from those on the right. 91 And if he is from the deniers, the astray, – 92 Then [for him is] accommodation of scalding water 93 And a hurling into the blazing fire. 94 Lo! this is certain truth. 95 So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96
