Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Then I swear by the setting of the stars, 75 And verily, that is indeed a great oath, if you but know. 76 Behold, it is a truly noble discourse, 77 In a Register well-protected; 78 which none but the pure [of heart] can touch: 79 It has been revealed by the Lord of all the worlds. 80 Then is it to this statement that you are indifferent 81 And have ye made it your livelihood that ye should declare it false? 82 Why is it not then that when it (soul) comes up to the throat, 83 And you wait for the moment (of death), 84 We are nearer to him than you, but you do not see 85 Why then, if ye are not in bondage (unto Us), 86 Bring back the soul (to its body), if you are truthful? 87 Then if the dying one is of those having proximity, – 88 there shall be calmness and ease, a Garden of Delight. 89 And if he is of those on the right hand, 90 Then [the angels will say], "Peace for you; [you are] from the companions of the right." 91 But if he is one of those who rejected [the truth] and went astray, 92 then he will be served boiling water, 93 And a hurling into the blazing fire. 94 Verily, this is indeed the truth of truths! 95 Then praise your Lord, the most supreme. 96

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
