▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Nay, I swear by the places of the stars - 75 and that is a mighty oath, if you but knew 76 That it is a Recitation honourable. 77 inscribed in a well-guarded Book, 78 None touch it except the purified. 79 Sent down by the Lord Of The Creation. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 And you make its denial your share? 82 Then why do you not (intervene) when (the soul of a dying person) reaches the throat? 83 And you wait for the moment (of death), 84 And We are nearer to it than you, but you do not see-- 85 Then why is it not-- if you are not held under authority-- 86 Bring it back, if you should be truthful? 87 If he is among the near 88 Then happiness and bounty and a garden of bliss. 89 And if he is of those on the right hand, 90 There will be the salutation by those of the right hand: "Peace on you. 91 But if he was of the deniers [who were] astray, 92 Then his reception is the hot boiling water. 93 And burning in Hell-Fire. 94 Indeed, this is the true certainty, 95 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Supreme. 96
